Touring Monument Valley on the Ten Penny Nail Trail |
![]() |
Ron, Doug & Gary parked their rig at Oljato Trading Post and rode into history on the trail they decided to name the Ten Penny Nail Trail, a true western experience. Their vintage clothing and gear earned them the name Alabama Outlaws. They actually turned out to be adventurous tourists and great riders. |

|
After riding down Copper Canyon, Ron tried his luck at fishing. His custom made vintage clothing, hats and spurs added to the drama and atmosphere. |
|
A good trail dog is essential to a trip on The Ten Penny Nail Trail. The Ten Penny Nail Trail was determined to be steep, scenic and great fun by The Alabama Outlaws. By Doug's estimate, it's about a 100 mile drop down to Lake Powell. The Outlaws are keeping in touch with Oljato Trading Post and should be back soon for more adventure. |

Despite
Doug's horse getting loose on the trip up and going "window shopping" in
downtown Gallup, and despite the snow, The Alabama Outlaws recommend the tour of Copper
Canyon/Lake Powell on the Ten Penny Nail Trail with Navajo Country Guided Trail
Rides.
